Praise from our Guests

Absolutely Breathtaking

The staff were very friendly and made our stay extremely pleasant. Will definitely recommend this stunning place to anyone in the area. Value for money. Exceptional views, great breakfast and awesome dinner menu!

Wow! What an Amazing Place!

Now this is a place you don’t want to miss if you are visiting Knysna. This luxurious manor is just above the lagoon and the view from the balcony is just breathtaking. The rooms are really great. Very clean and very modern. You’d never want to leave this place again when you are here. There is a big living room where you can relax or read a good book and there is a bar where you play a game of pool with a nice drink. Breakfast is very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is free Wi-Fi if needed. I’ll be back.

Fantastic View of the Knysna Lagoon

Our tour agents had booked this lovely guest house for a two night stay while on a self-drive tour of the Garden Route, and what a lovely place it is! Our main floor room provided easy access to the pool, had a great view, and was very spacious with a whirlpool tub and a separate shower. The breakfast room and the patio offer the same fantastic view. The staff was very attentive to our needs, and served a great breakfast as well. Plenty of on-site parking available.

Beautiful Manor with even Better View

We stayed at Bradach Manor in early June this year and it was beautiful! The manor overlooks Knysna and the view is stunning, the building is equally as nice with a grand staircase and gentleman’s bar to the rear. We stayed two nights and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, the breakfast was really good too with your choice of pretty much anything you wanted. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and hope to come back and visit in the summer.

Beautiful Location & Great Service

I stayed two nights in the Garden Room at Bradach Manor and had a wonderful experience. The room itself was very large, beautifully decorated with a four-poster bed, well-stocked minibar, balcony overlooking the pool with great views of the estuary, and an enormous bathroom. Comfortable, spotlessly clean. We had drinks in the living room which had a fireplace, comfortable furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows to take advantage of that drop-dead gorgeous view. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of items. Service here is excellent. When we mentioned that we were leaving very early the next morning, before their normal breakfast hours, they had the staff come in early so we could eat before leaving. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone seeking an elegant, relaxing stay.

Activities in the Area

Nestled between the Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua Mountains, the greater Knysna area with its indigenous forests and large
lagoon-estuary system is an idyllic place of natural beauty.

Due to its unique geographical setting, Knysna offers an exceptional setting that caters for a range of activities and excursions.

One of the quintessential musts of the area is to take an enthralling boat cruise with the Featherbed Company to their nature reserve on the Western Head where tourists can enjoy buffet lunches at an outdoor restaurant, guided walks and 4×4 drives into the reserve with spectacular views.

The Knysna Elephant Park

Looking for the elusive Knysna Elephant in the indigenous Outiniqua Forests often means going in circles. For most, it turns out to be a fool’s errand. Luckily you can see these magnificent beasts at The Knysna Elephant Park, just outside of town – where you can not only walk with the animals but ride them too. Also on offer are sundowners and safaris.

Hiking Trails Galore

The greater Garden Route offers a range of hiking trails for beginners to experts. There are day walks on offer in the various SanParks Nature Reserves in the area and vary from easy to hard. There are also weekend trails and more lenghty excursions of five days and longer – first among these are the Otter Trail, the Outeniqua Trail and the Dolphin Trail.

Feast of Oysters

One of the most quintessential cullinary experiences you have to try in Knysna, is a platter of oyster. Unique to the area, the Knysna Oyster has a unique taste you will not find anywhere else. Every year in July, this delicacy is celebrated during the PnP Knysna Oyster Festival, when more than 200 000 oysters are consumed in just ten days of festivities.

Golfers’ Paradise

Knysna is synonymous with golf and a true paradise for enthusiasts of the game. With three top notch courses in Knysna – Knysna Golf Club, Simola Golf & Country Estate and Pezula Championship Golf Course – visitors are spoilt for choice. Then there are other great courses in George, Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay – all within an hour’s drive.

Life’s a Beach

Although Knysna is situated on the banks of a lagoon, there are some fantastic beaches within half and hour’s drive. Head out to the beaches of the Knysna Heads or Bollard’s Bay on Leisure Island, Buffels Bay, Brenton-on-Sea or Plettenberg Bay, where a day of sun and fun might just be what you need to recharge and relax during your stay.
